Waterbe-Scrach War

The Waterbe-Scrach War is an interstellar war that has raged between the Impatinum Waterbe and the Scrach Union for at least 55 years, and possibly more due to indirect and/or unofficial border skirmishes. Due to the nature of the war, and the extreme measures used within, a large amount of worlds and systems between the space of the Impatinum Waterbe and the Scrach Union have been almost entirely scorched and rendered inhospitable, leaving an uncolonisable area known as the Waterbe-Scrach Buffer Zone.
